Gene Kelly, Singing in the Rain

  • Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s call to stop singing in the shower (apparently singing can keep you in the shower for up to half an hour)
  • Brazilians on the other hand are urged to urinate in the shower to save a toilet flush

It seems that South America is way ahead of the rest of us.
There are other ways, however, that might find greater appeal amongst us South Africans.

Making use of rainwater harvesting, pool and grey water recycling will not only save on your monthly water bill but more importantly will conserve our precious fresh water supplies, reduce the stress on our estuaries and take the pressure off our over-burdened sewerage treatment works.
